Browse Camden 72-Hour Releases

A Camden County 72 hour release list would collect people released in the last 72 hours, giving a wider view than a same-day check. No official three-day local feed is available. Camden detainees are housed at a regional jail, so a weekend or multi-day inquiry must be made through the jail’s person-specific status route, its records office, and the court file. State corrections offers a separate calendar-month tool for prison releases. Keeping those sources apart prevents a transfer, delayed update, or state discharge from being mislabeled as a Camden jail release.

Camden 72-Hour List Is Absent

No Camden Sheriff or Albemarle District Jail page publishes a rolling 72-hour list. The official sweep also found no separate 48-hour view or historical recent-release archive. Camden places local detainees at Albemarle District Jail, or ADJ, in Elizabeth City. ADJ’s “Inmate Lookup” opens VINE site 34003, which checks one person’s status. It is not a browsable set of everyone who left during the past three days.

A three-day inquiry is still useful, especially when the date of departure is uncertain. It simply has to be built from individual records. VINE can provide a current custody event, ADJ can confirm the physical release or transfer, and the Camden court file can explain the bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, or order. No published local field list, cadence, archive span, or photo column can be claimed.

Important: Camden and ADJ publish no official 72-hour feed. Use VINE, jail records, and court records for a named person.

Check Camden 72-Hour Releases

First decide whether the person was held locally or in state prison. The local path begins with ADJ. The state path begins with NCDAC Offender Public Information. A nearby prison, a Camden court case, or “Camden” in a state release search does not turn a prison record into an ADJ record.

  1. Search the ADJ-specific VINE entry by name or ID, then verify the agency and identity.
  2. Call ADJ at 252-335-4844 if the event is unclear or the person cannot be found.
  3. Ask for the existing admission, release, or transfer record covering the suspected three-day span.
  4. Request the release date and time, authority or type, and destination or receiving agency if those fields exist.
  5. Check the Camden court case to identify the legal event, while remembering that the docket alone may not prove the exit time.

Use a focused date range and identify the booking. Name, date of birth if known, arresting agency, arrest or booking date, and booking number help the custodian avoid a namesake. For the narrower intent, see the Camden County 24-Hour Releases path.

Note: A VINE no-result may reflect spelling, agency coverage, record age, transfer, or update timing rather than confirmed release.

Camden 72-Hour Record Fields

With no official list, the relevant columns are the fields a reader should seek in an existing release record. ADJ has not promised that every field is stored or publicly available. The request should ask for records as maintained and accept lawful redaction.

Record itemWhy it matters
Person and booking identifierTies the event to the correct custody episode.
Admission date and timeDefines which jail stay is being reviewed.
Release or transfer date and timeShows when custody at ADJ ended.
Authority, type, or codeMay distinguish bond, order, time served, sentence end, or transfer.
Destination or receiving agencyShows whether another custodian took control.
Charge and arresting agencyConnects the jail event to the right Camden case.

The jail record answers when the person left ADJ and may state where the person went. The court file answers why a legal release became possible. A second locator can show whether state, federal, or immigration custody followed.

Camden Weekend Release Checks

A real rolling list would make weekends easier to scan, but no such ADJ view exists. Do not impose the state prison’s weekday release policy on this regional jail. ADJ has not published weekend practices, routine release hours, an exit door, a waiting area, or a standard lag between the legal event and public status change.

A three-day request can bridge a weekend because it asks the jail to search the relevant booking across the whole span. It also helps when the exact day is uncertain. Still, a court order entered on one day may be followed by physical departure later, after staff verify conditions and clear other holds. A transfer pickup can add another step.

Call before traveling to the jail. Do not base pickup on a projected hour or on a screen that has not yet updated. The jail is in Pasquotank County, not Camden, and Camden’s transportation plan does not promise a fixed-route ride from the facility.

Camden Release Archive Limits

ADJ’s official home page establishes the local lookup route. It points to VINE rather than an ADJ-hosted archive. That is why the accurate Camden path remains person-specific even when the question covers three days.

This screen supports a person lookup. Its current status or notice is not a certified discharge record, and the research did not verify a fixed post-release display period.

Why Camden Has No 72-Hour Feed

The absence is not a search failure. Camden relies on a regional jail, and the jail has chosen VINE as its visible inmate-lookup route. VINE is designed for a matching person and custody notifications. It does not expose a chronological archive of all ADJ departures.

The correct local chain is VINE, an ADJ call or record, and the court case. Each source adds a different fact. VINE can flag a change, the jail record can distinguish physical release from transfer, and the docket can show the underlying court action. Together they provide more reliable proof than a third-party list.

No commercial roster should be treated as the official answer. Identity errors, transfer errors, stale images, and uncertain update times make a copied list weak evidence of what happened during a particular weekend.

Note: No official ADJ cadence, 72-hour retention rule, or recent-release photo field was found in the local sources.

Camden State Release Month Search

The NCDAC Inmate Release Search is a distinct state-prison tool. It filters by release county, calendar year, and month, with surname options. Results list offender number, name, release date, primary offense or qualifier, and release type. It has no local booking-photo column in the verified result inventory.

The search cannot be narrowed to 72 hours and does not contain county-jail records. A Camden selection means the state system recorded Camden as release county. It does not mean the person was released from ADJ. The visible year choices on the July 30, 2026 observation were 2024, 2025, and 2026, but that is not a fixed retention guarantee.

The county and month controls are useful for prison discharges. They must not be relabeled as a Camden jail three-day list.

Request Camden Release Records

For an older or unclear local event, ask ADJ for the existing booking and release or transfer record. The jail is at 210 Executive Drive South, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, and lists 252-335-4844 and 252-335-1579. No official ADJ records form, desk hours, fixed fee, response deadline, or retention span was found.

North Carolina public-record law allows a focused request for an existing record. Under G.S. 132-6.2, an ordinary uncertified-copy fee is limited to actual reproduction cost unless another law sets a charge. An extensive request may support a reasonable special-service fee. The agency need not create a new report or compile an unpublished 72-hour list.

Ask for electronic delivery when available. If a field is withheld or redacted, request the legal basis. Camden Sheriff Records Management may hold arrest records, while ADJ may hold the booking image and release screen. The Camden clerk holds the court case. Directing each part to its actual custodian avoids delay.

Reading Camden Release Outcomes

“Released” can mean bond, written promise, court order, dismissal with no other hold, time served, or sentence completion. It can also be used loosely for a facility departure that was actually a transfer. A receiving agency is the decisive clue.
